Stressing About School Next Week? 😰
Hi there,
Can you believe summer’s over?! Where did all the time GO?
If you’re in Year 9 going into Year 10, or Year 10 going on to Year 11, you’re probably feeling pre-school nerves.
Maybe you’d PROMISED yourself this summer you’d catch up on all the work, reading and revision you’d just never gotten round to last term. But somehow, the time passed – you blinked and suddenly summer’s OVER.
But don’t worry… I’ll show you how to catch up on English, get up to speed and start September strong!
Do these 3 things right now:
✅GET INSPIRED:
Read my descriptive writing model answer that I shared last week. Get going with easing yourself back into creative writing (and general writing) by reading well written work!
✅RECAP LANGUAGE & STRUCTURE:
Refresh yourself on top terminology to use over and over in your analysis from September:
LANGUAGE: alliteration, simile, metaphor, sibilance, personification
STRUCTURE: flashback, flashforward, zooming in or out, sudden or gradual introduction of a new character, beginning, middle and end
✅JOIN MY MASTERCLASS:
Don’t forget that you don’t have to figure this out alone. 96% of my students passed their GCSE Exams last week and it’s because every week they showed up to my Sunday classes, practiced, learned how to consistently go up by 3-5 GCSE Grades and their hardwork and consistency paid off in August.
