My Christmas Carol GCSE Predictions: 2025 Exams

Myself and the wonderful Mr Salles sat down and thought: what do exam boards love asking students each year and can we see a pattern? 🤔

Today in my YouTube video, we PREDICT what YOU will get in your May exams:

My GCSE Prediction:

I think Scrooge is going to come up - he’s a popular character, he’s come up lots of times before. I actually made a Predictions Table with all GCSE questions AQA has asked in Literature Paper 1 & 2 from 2017-2024:

It has ALL past exam questions that have ever come up (and if you’re part of my 🐣Easter Literature Week Classes🐣, you’ll get a copy of it as I’m determined that all my students who join in will get minimum 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s).

Having looked at these past questions, I feel Scrooge is likely going to come up. Mr Salles had a different opinion and he explains his predictions in the video.

But what if Scrooge doesn’t come up?

I made TWO more predictions in the video. Watch it and see my reasons behind them. Yet the bigger point is this - between now and your final GCSE Exam, you need to:

✅ Know SCROOGE & the THREE MAIN GHOSTS’ characters inside out

✅ Cram clever quotes, context and themes that you can use in ANY essay

✅ Pro tip: Have essay plans ready for the main characters, themes AND prediction questions

✅ NEVER FORGET: mention DICKENS’ MESSAGE!

PS: Save time as by joining my Christmas Carol Masterclass - I’ve prepared a cheat sheet you can use so you don’t waste another second on making revision notes and flashcards:

Overwhelmed? Left it too late?

Don’t worry - you’re not alone! The most important thing is you are doing something about getting back up to speed. You reading this post counts as revision so pat yourself on the back.

This is what you can do next:

⭐️ If you want to know how this looks like in a GCSE Grade 9 model answer that you can use to revise from..

⭐️ If your teachers are way to busy to answer questions you have about the play and your upcoming exams…

⭐️ Join my Easter GCSE Literature Masterclass (7-13 April): https://www.firstratetutors.com/literature

⭐️ Ask me as many questions as you like, learn how to structure your essays and go up by 3 GCSE Grade over Easter.

Make these final weeks to your exams count and I hope to see you in Easter. ❤️
